    Lyns Report - Final Part

Well the rest of the holiday seemed to go by in a flash, we sat and read a lot, the weather remained great and we had a wonderful time. All too soon it was Friday and we had to go home. We packed in the morning and then sat out for one last time. The weather the whole holiday had been great, it waited till we needed to pack the car and then it started to rain. We left the villa a 3pm and as soon as we got on the 192 the heavens opened. We seemed to be heading in the same direction as the rain which was rather funny, it would be raining heavily and then we would drive out of it, we then got stopped at traffic lights and the rain would catch up with us. When we turned onto the Boggy Creek Road the rain became really bad and squally and under any other circumstances we would have found a place to stop and wait it out, but we had to get to the airport. After dropping of the car we found a seat and eat the sandwiches I had made plus other bits and pieces we had left. Then to security, I set the alarm of on the scanner “have you got any metal on you” I was asked “no” I replied. “OK go back and try again” alarm goes of again “are you sure you have not got any metal on you, keys in your pocket, a belt etc” “no, the only metal I can think of are the wires in my bra but never had a problem with these before” she did not seemed amused by this and told me to go through again, guess what, set the alarm of again “Do you have any hip or knee replacements, because if you set the alarm of again you will have to have a full pat down” She said this as if it was my fault that the alarm kept going off. I told her no all my body parts were my own and I had had nothing added. Back I went and yes I set the alarm of yet again. I was now put in a clear walk in box to await my pat down. After what seemed like an age I was taken out of the box and made to stand on a mat with the picture of feet on it to show you were to stand. Having had my full pat down, which took about 5 minutes I was told “that’s OK you can go now” After getting through this we went to the gate for boarding. No more problems there and the plane took off more or less on time. Well we are home now and everywhere is covered in snow and I am freezing. Roll on February.
