Tuesday 23rd
Geoff will be heading home today. We popped out to the shops for him to get a few things to take home - mostly the biscuits he enjoys over here! His flight isn't till 6.30pm so plenty of time to pack and enjoy coffee by the pool etc [msnsmile] I try to get some paintng done but being aware of the fact we have to go out later I know there is a point at which I have to stop!
We set of to the airport at 2.30 and have a list of things we need to do over that way. After we have left Geoff we hed to Ikea for some new lamp bases. I kind of love and hate Ikea - it's great if you have time to stroll around and have a good look but when hubby is waiting outside and you miss the shortcuts in a bid to be quick.... well then it's not so great. Anyway, lamps found I head to the checkout! Only one open and lady in fromt of me has managed to find vrtually very item in store that the scanner does not recognise [msnsad] [msnmad] Finally I escape. While Alan was waiting for me he had time to fiddle with the radio and managed to find an 70's/80's station [msnsad] Great more Yes and Eagles!
We had passed a petrol staion with a good price so headed back and filled up. This is where the plan went wrong! Somehow we managed to exit the station in the wrong direction! We were supposed to be heading back to the Florida Mall - we both totally missed that we had crossed Sand Lake Road - as we weren't expecting to yet - and managd to get miles down the JYP - thinking we were still on Oak Ridge!! Too much chatting about the spicy meal were making (Mexican Fajitas) I expect - Geoff hates spice and we had missed our curry etc for the past 2 weeks! Anyway we got there in the end and I got the MAC, Bobbi Brown and NARS makeup for DD [msnsmile2] The things we do for our children!
Wednesday 24th
Yes, you've guessed - I am painting! Hubby however is having a day off to go fishing with our MC. He has his bag packed with his sarneys etc and off they go [msnsmile2] Villa to myself - bliss! Armed with a coffee and a couple of biscuits I sit by the pool for while soaking up the warm air ...... ooops, I'm supposed to be painting! In I go and get on. I am now doing the two masters wth an accent colour on one wall. By 2pm the accent walls are done in both rooms and I have painted as much as I can without help to move the furniture. I shower, change and pop to walmart. I want to make sure I have everything for thanksgiving dinner so we don't have to go out tomorrow. I amanged to find a few xmassy bits for the kids and feeling very relaxed (probably because I am not being hurried by Geof and hubby!!!) I head back to the villa. It's not long before hubby is back and he's really enjoyd his day. They caught lots of small snapper and watched Dolphins playing. They had gone to the piers at Tampa - just across the bridge - it was $12 for them both and the car. You park the car where you fish. Lots of families with children were there too.
Anyway, we have been invited to have Thanksgiving lunch with him and his family - we accept - better than being 'Billy no mates' !
