Sunday 21st
We have been here two weeks already [msnoo] A lot has been done so far but we still have a list [msnsad] We have good news from home - Karen has been let out of hospital [clap][clap][clap] Calling her for a chat will be easier now that we don't have to think about whether she will have visitors or doctors/nurses around.
I start on painting the den - amazing what you find under a sofa [msnwink] The boys are popping out to .........Lowes!! I ask them to get me a few colour charts for the accent walls. They help me move the furniture and off they go. By the time they get back (and they say us women spend a long time at the shops!), I have finished as much as I can without moving the furniture around again. They offer to take me out shopping for the afternoon - wow!!! I say I would like to go to Lake Buena Vista. So off we set. As soon as we get there I am asked which shops I would like to go to - do I know???? No, I like browsing!! So I decide it would be best to come back on my own [msnsmile2] It was kind of them to offer though! Next comes the ulterior motive - we are off to Costco and Sam's Club! They just love browsing around all the tools, TV's etc. We have a nice drive back along a route we haven't done for a while, and passed a community we rented in before we purchased - it was still beng developed when we were there and it is all 'grown up' now [msnsmile]
Monday 22nd
I pop out to get some paint - the charts Alan bought back were no good - so I go armed with a cushion cover in the colour I want. I search the racks with no luck - then an assistant asks if they can help. I explain and he says - ok! He takes my cushion cover and clamps it into a machine [msneek] Then he asks what finish I would like and 3 or 4 minutes later there is the paint! Brilliant! I get back to the villa and get the den finished [msnsmile2]
It is Geoff's last day here today, so while I wait for the paint to dry before I put the room back together, we go out on the deck with him. He is having a relaxing day before his flight tomorrow. We have a dip in the pool and sit in the Hot Tub - with the obligatory glass of wine of course!!
Rest period over, Alan & I put the den back together and Geoff takes some photos to show Karen. After dinner we settle down to watch a film - yep, sure enough 30 minutes in and I fall asleep!!! [laugh]
