Our trip part four - mulch, mulch, mulch!

    Sunday 14th
It is another beautiful day, the sun is shining and we have a leisurely breakfast. We realise we haven't spent much time by the pool yet so decide this afternoon we will sit out with a drink and relax [msnsmile]
We spend the morning, as usual with me painting and the boys landscaping. It's not long before all the plants are planted and I have finished painting the kitchen area. Our list of chores isn't getting shorter - it's longer as we find more and more that we would like to change, repair etc!
After lunch we go out to the pool area with the new metal wall art we brought out with us, and an outdoor clock. We put them all up on the walls and now we and guests have even more to look at outside [msnsmile]
We spend a well earned afternoon by the pool and are reluctant to go in when it's time for dinner! We also have a new dvd to watch tonight if any of us last to the end it will round off a good day nicely!

    Monday 15th
We are worried we have not ordered enough mulch but as it is the largest load they can deliver we think we will jut have to ordeanother lot later. I do a few things indoors and have a couple of calls to make (ordering more items for the villa!) so as soon as the mulch arrives the boys get to work loading the wheelbarrow and spreading it out over the weed blanket they have put down. When I have finished my chores I decide to help them - believe me it beats day spent indoors painting [laugh]
By lunchtime the drive is clear and we order another load. We barely have tme to eat our rolls before it arrives [msnsad], the pile looks bigger this time - is that my imagination! By 5pm we have all had enough and give up for the day. It won't take long tomorrow to get rid of the last of it!

    Tuesday 16th
By 11am the mulch pile is gone - hooray! I am painting the family room and the boys start looking through the list of chores to prioritise what to do next. The sliding door needs some attention so it is A/C off and doors out! They spot what needs doing and as they have to order a part they carry on with cleaning out the garage. It's amazing what you collect, what gets left behind and what you forgot you had up on the shelves! Everything is sorted and it all looks shp shape again, they even have time to put up some football game pennants donated by our MC. We all feel we are getting somewhere now that we can actually cross things off the list - though strangely it is not getting any shorter yet!

THe list never gets shorter - lol - hope you get some vacation - have you ever costed how much it would cost to have it professionally decorated, against the cost of your time/flights etc? I ofen wonder these things- we never decorate, we don't do it in the uk either- each to their own profession is my excuse

Our MC seems to think about $3000 for the complete interior [msnoo] I would prefer to be here decorating than at home [msnsmile]
