Yes, I am about giving up on trying to predict what BA will do with prices. Over the last few days, they have been reducing the outbound fare and increasing the return. The total always stays the same or £1 either side. Once other airlines open their long term bookings, I am going to see if it has any effect on BA's prices, but at the moment it is looking like Continental will offer the best and more stable pricing.
