Dollar - Credit Card

The last time we went to Florida in 2008 we used Dollar for our car hire and they did not swipe our card, have they started to do this since then?

If collecting Orlando or Sanford on the Gold option then they don't tend to take a card swipe at all. Other locations it's hit and miss; sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Roger, do they accept a debit card on a US bank account?

We always use our debit card for the deposit swipe ( we always book the gold option )that is with our US bank Suntrust when we collect the car. We pay for the actual rental with our UK bank account and no matter which car rental firm we use they have always excepted it and never queried that it is a different card to the one used for the payment.
