    Lyn's Report part 5

Sunday – Having checked on the internet for show times decided to go back to Sea World as tonight seems to be the last Shamu Rocks show of the season. Can’t believe we are sitting out after dark at 7.30pm in T shirt & shorts and it is just a perfect temperature, will be freeeeeezing when we come home. We had arranged to go with friends to the Discovery launch tomorrow, but has been postponed till Tuesday so will go then.
Monday – Our friends visited us and we taught them how to play Mexican Train Dominoes. It is funny when you mention dominoes, people seem to think of old men playing it in the pub. However when they play this version they love it. Had a great evening but found out the launch is now postponed till Wednesday, oh well will try again.
Tuesday – Found out the launch is now postponed till Thursday with only a 40% chance of it going. At this rate we will be over at Fort Myers before it goes and we will miss it. The weather has not been so good today, a lot of rain this afternoon, but the rain is badly needed here so we don’t mind.

Years ago we took our American friends to dinner, we dined at 5pm, afterwards they suggested going back to their house to play Dominoes. We thought the same, how exciting but we're now addicted. Every trip we play at least once a week.

Have taught the family and friends to play and afterwards gave them a set of dominoes. Had to search for extra trains as only 4 supplied with set, finally found some in Ohio. Arranged for them to be delivered to our holiday villa, later went to flea market by Bass Road and found them there [msnscared]

I'm intrigued about the Mexican train dominoes. You will have to educate us Lyn!

We need more trains so will have a trip to the flea market. The game is easy to play, but hard to explain you really need to learn whilst playing. Very briefly, you start from a double and every player runs his own line from that double, if he cannot go he has to put a small train on his row which means other players can go on that row as well as there own. It is really good fun.

There are many ways of playing the game, I downloaded instructions but as Lyn says it's better to learn via playing.
You can play with double nine, twelve and fifteeen. We always play double twelves and it can take two hours or longer to play.
A friend found a quicker way to play where in the first round you lay all the dominoes you are able to in one go. It took a while to follow this new play but it is definately quicker.

When my niece plays they stop when the kids have had enough and restart the next day. You start playing with the highest double, twelve, and finish with the double blank. Kids enjoy it but you might have to have a calculator handy for adding the leftover dominoes.
