    Greater Groves area

Hello all. I asked this question on another forum and did not hear anything so thought I would try here. We are considering a villa in the Greater Groves area in Orlando. Can anyone tell me what that area is like regarding places to eat and shop (groceries, etc)?
Also, I ahve seen posts about a shortcut around hwy 27 to get to the Animal Kingdon, but I can't find the post now. Does anyone know about that?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi caseyd,

We have a villa in Orange Tree which is just up the road from Greater Groves and built by the same people!

We drive along the 27, then turn off for the 192, and turn left on Black Lake Road. This is indicated by the purple lamposts (indicates Disney property!). You come to a junction where you turn left and you are heading striaght toward AK! You pass AK Lodge on your left too. When you get to the lights on this road, turn right and follow the signs to wherever you're going!!!

It's a great short cut and saves a load of time sitting in traffic! There are plans for a more direct route from teh 27, but I think these are seriously years away! Hope this is of some help!
    Tink

Tinkerbell: This helps enormously. If your villa is for rent and we like this area, I will look into it for our next trip.
