We have eaten at the castle every time we have been to Florida (the first few times we went it wasn't a character meal) and it has always been great food, particularly for my daughter who is gluten free. We have also had a character breakfast last time at AK which was fab too. Completely different. Buffet style breakfast at AK and waiter/ress meal at the castle and the prices reflect this. What we didn't realise when we first went to a character meal at the castle is that you have pics with Cinderella first and a photo pack is included in the price,

We have done the character breakfast at Chef Mickeys in the Contemporary Resort three times now and all love it!! As it is outside the parks you don't have to use one of your "park days" - we always book for about 11am and that is our main meal for the day. It is a full breakfast buffet (which the kids love as they can choose what they want to eat) and has pretty much everything you could possibly ask for. The characters (usually Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy) work the tables brilliantly making sure that everyone gets time with each of them for photos, cuddles etc. Then every so often (half or three quarters of an hour) everything stops and everyone sings Celebration with dancing and serviette waving at which point anyone with a birthday or special occasion gets a cake. We went the first time for my 40th and the last time this August for our little girl's 4th birthday. We ordered a special 6" chocolate cake for the birthday girl which was absolutely scrummy! A great fun time.

We have done Cinderella's Castle and breakfast at the Polynesian Resort and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. For a girl of any age it has to be Cinderella's.
