Must Do on Gulf Coast

Hi = we are going to have a week in Kissimmee and a week somewhere on the Gulf Coast. Anyone got ideas of what we simply must not miss!!

Can anyone tell me about Sanibel or Captiva - are they worth a visit? And has anyone been canoeing or kayaking on the Hillsborough among the crocs and is it worth a try? Be grateful for any tips

We took a ride on the worlds largest speedboat at clearwater beach,it was a fantastic to watch the dolphins jumping in its wake.
kids and adults all enjoyed this ride.

For me the boat trips are the best. I love seeing the dolphins too

We have stayed at Sanibel twice - loved it. Stayed at the Sundial complex in a condo on both occasions.

It's a lovely environment, not at all rushed, and after the hustle and bustle of the theme parks you can really relax and not even leave the islands.

We have done the boat journeys from Captiva which we thoroughly enjoyed, have some pictures which I will try and post!

You need to actually stay on either Sanibel or Captiva. There is little public parking which makes it a difficult destination for a day out. We kept getting moved on! We went jet skiing at Fort Myers Beach which was fun.

Lisi- Sanibel is a must, nothing else like it in Fl. It takes a littke getting used to but it can become addictive- been going ther every year since 1985!!
Try kayaking in the Mangrove swamps at the wildlife refuge on Sanibel
If you want any special info. please don't be afraid to ask.
