    which is better?

Having looked at the flights again (and again, and again!!!!!!!) travelling from Devon Heathrow is a bit better for us but...... the choice of flights is LHR - MCO via Philadelphia OR LGW - MCO via Charlotte. Not much difference in flight times. Only other option is Virgin into Miami but we have come to the conclusion better do indirect and into MCO rather than direct and have a drive (flying up negates any savings[msnsad] ) Thoughts on the stopover would be appreciated because if no difference probably go via Philadelphia because it goes from LHR.

You could always do LHR/MCO via Newark

Have youu looked at Aer Lingus? No idea what dates you are looking at son can't check prices, but they do aso use Cardiff and Birmingham so there might ba another option that is closer than Heathrow. Advantage being the stopover is in Dublin and many of the flights clear Immigration in Dublin so on arrival in Orlando you are then a Domestic passenger and don't have that hassle.

We are flying into Miami and did this year and although it is quite a drive, the price for us was over £600 saving but of course that can depend on dates. My dad has done a stopover at washington previously

Nooooooo!!!!!!! [msnwink] Back to the drawing board to look at all these as well. US Airways seems to be cheapest for our dates (12/8 - 2/9 ish unless much cheaper couple of days either way) Delta, BA etc seem to be at least £80ish more expensive. Thanks for input [msnsmile]

I have just booked with Expedia. BA to New York (sorting out my own internal flight) stopping for 4 nights the return from MCO Via JFK to LHR, these are on american airlines. Similar dates to yours ging out 9/8 returning 3/9. Worked out less than £700 each for 3 adults.

You can save some money by flying Monday to Thursday. I just looked at American Airlines flights around your dates and saw a fare of £744 for LHR-JFK-MCO. If you like BA you can select 1 of their flights as a codeshare for the same price.

I'd definitely recommend going through New York because the transatlantic segment is relatively short (around 2 hours less than thru Miami) and AA have good connections to MCO.
