    Help! - which villa/community?

I need help big time! Confusing myself looking at villas. Been offered Emerald Island, Highgrove, Legacy Park, Westhaven and have looked at all of them and still can't make up my mind. Looking for a community with a community pool, close to restaurants (pref. within short walking distance), pool that's not overlooked (which I am finding is hard to find), close to parks so that maybe we can pop back during the day. I would like to have restaurants close by, not just mall type outlets that do restaurants. Is it best to just find a villa that I really like the look of, as all the comments on most of the communities seem really good. Also, I don't want to take the chance of being anywhere near a road. Help everyone!!

All the communities advertised here are near enough to 'pop' back during the day for a break so that should not be a problem. None of the villas exit directly onto a main road as they are all in communities and some have traffic light junctions once off the community where it disects the main road.

Personally I would select the villas you like best and then contact those owners and find out what restaurants are close by, and whether they have a community pool.

This is one advantage of booking direct with an owner they can answer all your questions so you can make the right decision and know once you arrive you will not be disappointed with where you are staying.

Hi Alison I fully understand can be very confusing especially when you have so many beautiful villas and communities to choose from.
You have the right idea choose a home and community you like. Then contact the owner with any questions and concerns you may have concerning roads, walking distances to restaurants.

Looking for communities with a communal pool should narrow the search for you. Just enjoy choosing your home for your holiday and have a wonderful time when you visit Florida. [msnwink]

Thanks both, I am now looking at Bellavida Resort as it seems pretty central and we can get to Int. Drive as well as parks. Do you know anything about this community?

Hi Alison, welcome to the Forum

Bella Vida is in a very good location, just off Poinciana Blvd and the 192. Very close to a huge 24-hour Walmart, plenty of restauarnts and outlet shopping.
Bella Vida was built by Park Square homes who also built the resorts of Lake Berkley, Seasons & Terra Verde. These are all close to Bella Vida. Then there is Emerald Island & Solana too.
All great resorts with communal facilities etc.

There are many communties which offer communal swimming pools, which are close to restaurants and shops and which do not back onto a road.

The best way is to ask your chosen villa owners about these things and to make sure you put that you want a pool which is not overlooked in your enquiry.

I am sure that there are pools which are genuinely not overlooked - if you are not sure or if the photos don't really show the view then ask for more photos which DO show the outlook. We have a 360 tour which shows what our privacy is like and I know many owners have either a 360 tour or a video tour or both, which will put your mind at rest about how truly private they are. I am sure that if that is important to you that owners who have this sort of outlook will contact you if you put it in your enquiry.

Good luck with your search - am sure you will find your perfect villa - don't give up too soon!

I don't think I have ever seen anyone using the communal pool in any community I have visited.

I went to swim lengths once at Highlands Reserve but the pool was no good for this.

Hotel pools are often empty too. The whole pool thing doesn't seem to be a big deal in Florida.

we stay at Terra Verde each time we go over, its just along the road from BellaVista, its down the poinciana boulevard, and very close but not to close to the 192, we spend loads of time in the resteraunts and shopping around there... its not far from disney but then there are soooo many communities that are within poppin back distance close to disney etc... not to far from i-4 i think... and prime outlets/premium outlets, and the restare not to far away by car...
Terra Verde has a nice sized community pool and also a Tiki Bar which has lots of nice drinks and eats... theres a games room, gymnasium, internet room, sauna etc,and a gorgeous lake lovely wildlife and beautiful conservation areas, they also have a small alligator in the lake.. fascinating to watch... the list is endless... we have stayed there i think at least 5 times and dont want to go anywhere else, it meets all of our needs..... we also rent houses with their own pools so we can have quiet times at the villa and other times out to meet people from all over
Good luck with your search xx
