our friends have done that very trip twice no prob, but if you are looking for entertainment on board, there is none! [msncry]

On a Delta Transatlantic flight? I seriously doubt that is the case.
Delta offer either Overhead movies or On demand seat back depending on which aircraft you are on
WE have always had in-flight entertainment with Delta. We travel with KLM/Delta regularly. Sometimes overhead and occasionally seat back. Don't know when your friends travelled, but it could not have been in the last 8 years.
I don't really care if there is in-flight or not as I never watch it, prefer to read a book but the rest of the family like it.

Thanks for your comments but have gone for a mixture of American Airline and BA.
BA fligth out to NY, a few nigths there and then catch an internal flight down to Orlando. Returning MCO to LHR with a plane change at JFK. Just under £700 each which for August I thought was pretty good.
Good choice Christine. If you aren't already a member, be sure to join the BA Executive Club to credit the miles for both the BA and AA flights.

That sounds like a great deal. I'm planning to do basically the same trip next August myself (substituting Fort Myers for Orlando), so I'll check this out. So far I haven't been able to find it for under about £850 or £2,200 business/first. August is just dreadful pricewise and it's quite a few years since we paid under £800.

American don't fly direct to Fort Myers from New York Peter - JetBlue do though and you buy a through ticket now.
Just flown Virgin - Heathrow to JFK - stayed 3 nights Novotel Times Square - Delta LaGudia (don't think I spelt that right) to Orlando. 7 days car hire - Virgin Orlando to Gatwick £874.50
all in.
