Best days for theme park visits?

Now we have been to florida a lot and always tend to visit parks in the week.We travel end of march and with a trip to nyc' and niagara on our schedule we need to sort days to visit animal kingdom, both universal parks and epcot.
Do you advise any of these on a saturday or sunday?

    thx in advance sandrino

    In a word NO....

The Parks are always really busy on a weekend .... we tend to use the weekends for shopping and chill days... but that is just us.

Weekends are generally busy but according to the "Brit Guide to Orlando" which is an excellent publication one of the lightest days for Animal Kingdom is a Sunday so you may be okay there. The lightest days for your other Parks are Mondays. I could give you a link to the up to date information but I'm not sure if the rules on posting allow me.

We always use the Busy Day Guide from the Brits Guide to Orlando when we go .... it is pretty accurate.

We also follow the Brit Guide advice, however our best day to do Animal Kingdom is the day after we arrive as the time zone change means we're up early and early is the best time to get to Animal Kingdom before all the animals realise how hot it is and fall asleep in a shady spot! (I think we got that tip from the Brit Guide too!)

If you're getting to Florida after your other trips the time zone change won't really help you of course.

I read/heard somewhere that Disney stats show there are least visitors to a park the day after the AM extra magic hours days.

I planned my previous trip based around this principle and it worked really well. My extended family met us in Orlando a couple of weeks later and used no such system. I went along with them to a few parks and they were noticeably busier than when I had visited.

We tend to look at when the magic hours are and make sure we avoid the park with the AM magic hour as on that day there will be extra people in the park before we even get in

I know it seems contrary to comments above, but I've always found Saturdays not too bad for any of the parks. I suspect it's because many people are either arriving or leaving on a Saturday and so can't fit a park visit in. For Universal Studios, I've always found that if you arrive at opening it can be quite empty.

I was speaking to a member of staff in Islands of Adventure, and asked him about the Harry Potter land and did they notice a difference in crowd number (they did, up by almost 25%!). Anyhow, we mentioned that we never visit on Saturday or Sunday as we thought they would be too busy, but he said that the weekend tends to be a bit quieter, while Monday was one of their busy days. Unfortunately, it was too late for us to visit at a weekend to see for ourselves.
