Best days for theme park visits?

Hi all and hello from a newbie.
Thought this was worth mentioning, we are regular visitors to Florida, we were in Orlando in April and decided to try Magic Kingdom on a saturday. We bought our tickets but realised once we entered that it was just too packed to enjoy. We went back out to customer services and asked if they could change them for another day in the week, no bother they did it straight away.

Stay away from all parks at week ends and public holidays! that's my advice. and Early July when the American Schools break up.
