Does Alamo have an express check in?

Just booked an Alamo car from here and wondered if Alamo have an express check in that i can use with this booking?
Checked their website and it seems to refer to quicksilver, is that what i should use or is it something else?

This has already been answered on another thread, what you need to do is wait until you receive your voucher (about 8 weeks before travel) then go onto the alamo site and register your details using Supplier Confirmation Number on the voucher. If you have used Alamo before once you have entered your name and driving licence number the other information is already in thier system.

When you go to collect your car you will still need to queue but it will save time once you get to the desk, as you get a confirmation with a bar code which they scan and 'hey presto' all the details are there.

Yes i did read this, but that was my point.

Is there an express checkin, the answer appears to be NO.

What you have referred to is a "save time", which doesn't mean you can jump the queue, only that your details are already in the system.

I was asking if there was another scheme which was an express checkin. They have something called quicksilver they refer to and i was asking if this was it and hoping someone had used it.

The quicksilver is only available to people with an American or Canadian driving license.

When I was in Miami they had a seperate desk for people who had registered with alamo direct road. There was no one waiting at this desk. Sadly there was no one behind it either so I had to use the normal desk.

I asked why no one was at the direct road desk and was told it was a new system the was being brought in but as the hall was empty in general they did not see the point in staffing it when so few people had registered. They also told me there was a direct road desk at Orlando.

The system is supposed to work like the Budget fastrack but as yet I have not heard of anyone actualy being able to use it. Also it is available to UK customers

I'm confused - are Direct Road and Quicksilver the same thing?

Not that I am aware of. Quicksilver is for US passengers only but direct road is a new system for international travellers from certain countries including the UK
