anyone been to honeymoon island? is it worth a trip?

We went earlier this year. Nice place, sandy beaches, cafe, the all important rest rooms (or so Sarah will say). Also a nature reserve, so keep an eye out for terrapins/tortoises. See the fishes swimming around your legs when you go for a paddle.

Note:- There is a entry fee, of $8 per car to get onto the island.

Sorry never heard of Honeymoon Island - where is it. (Just goes to show however many times you go to Florida there is always something new to find)

We went a couple of times in April. We spent a full day there both times and had a great time.
Inside the park area is a great bbq area and play area for the children.
My direction giving is hopeless so you would be better to google it. I know we were going to Tampa area and I had read of Honeymoon island so we decided to see it and were glad we did. You can also take a boat trip from there to another island but we didnt do that. got to save something for next time
