I would say yes, you need to talk to the villa owner.

The owner of your villa has, by law, to maintain a full and accurate record of the guests staying in his/her property. It is a requirement of the licence to rent that your owner holds.
You must make the owner aware of any change you propose to your rental.

You do need to let the owner know. It is required by Law that the owner has a complete list of any guests staying at their property. It should not be a problem though.

As others have said, it is very important that you contact the owner and let them know of your plans.

There may be an additional charge for the extra guests if the owner has offered a discount for a smaller group, in the belief that there will be less use of utilities etc. More people equal more showrs etc.

Just as with booking an hotel the booking will cover only those people listed as staying on the booking form. We, as most owners do, have a clause in the booking contract that states that, if at any time, people are found to be staying of whom have not been advised, then the whole party may be liable to eviction for breaking the terms of the agreement. It is a licensing, and potential insurance issue as well and covers both parties. In effect if one of them had an accident then it could be deemed they were trespassing etc.

In most cases it is nothing more than adding the names to the booking, so if you arent sure then you can just add them anyway.

Just as Guests expect owners to be honest with them about the villa it is only fair to be honest with the owners about your intentions.

When we go in November, we are staying in a 3 bed villa, just the 2 of us. However we have some friends also staying in a villa some distance away. We were thinking of inviting them over for a meal and if they want to drink they could stay the night. They may stay they may not, we won't know untill just before the event what day this will happen. What should I tell the villa owners, who are also the management company.

I always also ask if people have a disability (in a fire situation, that could be important) and also their ages if under 18 or over 65 (for exactly the same reason).
