    Changing return date

I haven't yet booked my car hire because there is a chance my husband and children may be staying longer than expected as there is a high possibility he has got to go on business in the next state before coming home so might change the flights.
Would there be any problem extending the car hire by a few days after buying it? Also would he be allowed to drive it in Georgia? We are flying into Tampa.

If you renting from UScarhire you should check directly with them. Extending directly with the renting company once you're there is definitely possible, but will be extremely expensive.
Driving into Georgia (or any other state in the US) isn't a problem. Dropping the car in Georgia when you took it in Tampa will also mean extra expense.

Once you book, as our rates include amendment protection then you can change your drop off date (and just pay the extra). Dont't leave it too close to the collection date just in case there becomes a problem with availability for the extra days, but up to a couple of days before you travel is usually fine. Budget can take around a week to re-confirm availability, but Alamo only a few hours, and Dollar a couple of days.

You can drive in and around any state, although as lafifille says, if you drop off in a different state there may be 1-way fees. Dropping back in to Florida of course wont cost any extra.
