I'm looking for a reasonably priced but decent and clean hotel in central London for a weekend in October. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Ibis Hotels are always clean and well located. We stayed in the one near Euston (it's within walking distance of Euston) and it was good.
3 Cardington Street
NW1 2LW
£89 per night
There are lots of them scattered around London.
Book via their website.

A two night stay room only, double room, 9 Oct departing 11 Oct at the Premier Inn " London Counting Hall" Belvedere Road, London, right next to the London Eye, you can't get more central than that! is showing at £219
I stayed here a few years ago and you cant get a better location.
We have stayed at the Raddison Edwardian off Oxford Street when we have been in the city for a show, it is a nice clean hotel.

The City Inn Westminster is 3* but more like a 4* in my opinion. 2 mins from Westminster abbey and big ben. I would definitely recommend this one and we have stayed in many hotels in central london in recent years.
Failing that, Earls Court have some nice hotels, but it is 15 min tube ride to the centre.
Hotel Metropole (Hilton) We stayed there when we went to London.
