    Ticket prices

Just came back from FL and we were wondering one thing :
What are the discount tickets to parks they are selling all around the Orlando ? I have understood that there are no available discount tickets for one day but there were a lot of signs that said that ticket price is 10 $ or 20 $. Is there something extra like timesharing sales includes to these offers ?

    Thanks again,
    -Rauno

    Hi Rauno
You find 2 kinds of discount tickets in Orlando, the timeshare ones as you say, which if you are very forceful and don't mind sitting through a presentation and are prepared to be called a tyre-kicker and other such names when you insist that you aren't signing up and hold out for whatever offer they promised you. The others are kiosks where they buy back unused days on tickets and sell them on which is highly illegal and there have been cases where guests have bought, them got to the gates and found they are worthless and they are then hauled up before security to answer questions about where they got them etc and the kiosks have been targetted by the Sherriff.

When we were there we saw some really low prices at a kiosk, the lady was telling me they
were genuine tickets etc. But we just walked away.

They just seemed too cheap, and in my experience when something is
that cheap something is wrong. Call me cynical but ive been ripped off
enough in my time and no one likes being fooled

    Hello,

Thanks, this is a what I thought it could be. It is funny that they have big sings everywhere for these "discounted" tickets.

Thanks again everybody in this forum, this forum made our trip much easier. Only problem is that we must start to plan our new trip rightaway....[msnwink]

A story of what happened 2 years ago to me
    ------------------------------------------

2 years ago, the whole family went on holiday along with my aunt and uncle and there kids. We were planning a day at Islands Of Adventure but it was only going to be me, my friend and my aunt and uncle as everyone else wasnt really keen on rollercoasters and all that. So the four of us bought tickets from a booth beside the supermarket 'Publix'. We got them for $20 each which was a real bargain. However ... when we got to the entrance to the park me and my friends tickets were fine but my aunt and uncles got refused. The staff did let them in though and told them to take the tickets back. On the way home they took the tickets back to the booth and got a full refund. So .. my dad (being the type of person he is) also took me and my friends ones back and said they didnt work, which they did. He also got a full refund. Im not telling everyone to do this, but incase you ever end up stranded with no money ... that ideas always an option [msnwink]
