    Clearwater Dolphin Watching

    Hi all,

Have any of the dolphin tours from Clearwater been affected by the oil spill in the Gulf? We'll be in Florida at the end of next month and were hoping to make the trip out to see the dolphins, so any news will be welcome.

    Thanks
    Chris

I think if you look at [website link edited] you will see that they are not affected by the oil spill.

The site of the oil spill is at least 100 miles North from the likes of Tamapa Bay and the fantastic beaches further south.

    Have a great trip
    Derek

We were also out just a couple of weeks ago and the sea and beaches are fine. We went in for a swim at Clearwater Beach on our last day. We were out about shoulder height in the sea and saw lots of dolphins about 100 yards further out. They were there for ages (couple of hours on and off) and a few small boats were pulling up to watch them. Fantastic!

I spoke to our manager this weekend and the beaches from Tampa on down are still unaffected by the oil.

The beaches on this stretch of coastline are fantastic and are full of fish etc.

    Enjoy the swim.
