I am off to Florida for 3 Weeks in September, and this is our first time....really looking forward to it but just wanted to make sure that I have checked all the boxes...

I Have....

Villa Booked ...Paid
Car Booked....Deposit Paid
Passports sorted...
Insurance Paid
Flights booked and paid..
ESTA forms filled and photo-copied
Some cash converted...
Waiting for TOM TOM
.......................

What else do we need....?
Any suggestions?
Update................
I have done the API form (many thanks for that bit of avdice)
Photo copied all the other forms i needed to.

Any regular medication you need (extra if poss to split between luggage (or keep with you)

Take photographs of suitcases and take the photographs with you just in case luggage doesn't arrive

Photocopy all credit/debit cards and take print out with you in case they go AWOL

If car rental booked throught this site you should have had final payment taken and voucher received

Take copies of your passports, you may need photo ID somewhere & it's best not to carry original passports with you. Assuming you intend to use credit cards, tell your CC issuer that you intend to use their cards in US from (date > date)- note the contact numbers for your credit card issuers. It will be significantly cheaper to buy park tickets 'this end' if you can.

A second credit card is a good idea if using cards for spending. You can notify your cardholder BUT the computer is still capable of saying NO at the most inconvenient time (I have this T shirt) and then had to go back to the villa and ring Nationwide to ask them why when I had I notified them in advance did they stop the card and the answer was 'it is the computer that does it'!

Nationwide are a pain I am afraid with notification of credit card use abroad. They say they need notification but when you give it to them they say they don't need it. Like Jill I also have the T-shirt and it was extremely embarassing standing in Best Buys when the card was refused.
