    Girls Allowed.......The last day.

We started the last day of our trip the same way we started it, with breakfast at Market St Cafe in Celebration. This morning it was French toast with strawberries for me and Helen repeated her first days choice.[msntongue][msntongue]
As usual we sat outside enjoying the view and the glorious weather, today was forecast to have a near record high of 97 and boy was it humid![msncool]

After breakfast we visited the Market St Gallery to pick out some gifts and cards for upcoming birthdays and after depositing our purchases in the car we set out for a stroll around the lake. Before we even left the front we had spotted an alligator swimming in the distance, just his head visible above the water.[msneek] As we approached Lakeside Park we saw an owner taking their dog for a walk......in a stroller! Gives a whole new meaning to the term walking the dog!![msnwink]

We walked to the bridge and crossed in to the conservation area, we were so glad of the shade. At the end of the lake we had the choice between completing the circuit or ploughing on past the next lake and beyond to view the big houses. It was so hot but we decided to keep walking, the view of “Millionaires Row” really shows you how the other half lives.[msneek] We carried right on to the end of the third lake and then returned along East Lawn Drive giving us a view of the front of the houses as well. By the time we got back to the centre of town we had been walking for more than an hour and a half and rewarded ourselves with a frappucino at Starbucks, it was so hot that we even sat inside in the AC to enjoy it.[drinkpepsi]

On the way back to the car we popped in to Cafe D’Antonio to reserve a table for dinner, I bet they hoped that we were going to scrub up well, we were hot sweaty and our hair was plastered to our heads........not a good look.[msnsad]

Next we headed down the 192 to Pinch a Penny, a purchase of a clock for the pool area would complete our shopping list. I’m really pleased with the one we chose, it fits in really well with the decor and is so clear and easy to read.[msnsmile]
Back at the villa we rewarded ourselves with a lovely cooling dip in the pool before we had our lunch. I had my shrimp caprese to finish which was tasted just as good as it had last night![msntongue]

The afternoon passed with relaxing and cooling off in the pool. My new book is The best of Times by Penny Vincenzi, I can tell it’s going to be a brilliant read but at almost 900 pages there is no way I will be finishing it any time soon.

We went indoors about 5.30 to start packing and get ready for our final evening out. We had a quick weigh in of the cases, even though they weren’t fully packed, just to give us an idea of whether or not we would need another case. Luckily there was plenty of room and plenty of weight allowance.

We arrived at cafe D’Antonio and chose to sit outside on the patio, it was still very hot and no one else was daft enough although later in the evening we were joined by two other parties, both British.
We both chose bruschetta to start with and it turned out to be a good choice, the tomatoes were so fresh and sweet. Helen chose lobster ravioli for her entree and although I had toyed with having the same I chose risotto with jumbo shrimp, it was superb and just thinking about it now makes my mouth water.[msntongue][msntongue] One of the nice things about sitting outside is you get to watch the world go by. As we were just finishing our meal who should walk by but Rosie and Al, they had been dining with friends at The Celebration Tavern, we had a bit of a chat before they wandered on and we finished our meal. By this time it was dark and was thundering and lightening but not even a drop of rain.[msneek]
We were still sitting there20 minutes later enjoying our cappuccinos when Rosie and Al walked back in the other direction. Al had an absolutely huge ice cream in a waffle cone, I am pleased to report that Rosie had a more modest sized tub.[msnwink]
We made our way back to the car with the storm all around but still no evidence of a

Thanks for yet another great read Liz, you've inspired me to write a trip report next time we visit, although sadly not sure when that will be[msncry] as courtesy of 'that' volcano we've already had over 5 weeks in Florida this year. Added to which I don't think my writing style is as readable as yours[msnembarrased]

Wishing you a safe journey home and lots of big cuddles from that beautiful little girl (I think we must be overdue a photo[msnwink]) thanks again for the Florida fix.
