We visited Gator Land for the first time last month and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We did not think we would enjoy gator wrestling but that turned out to be more about gators and not really wrestling so that was interesting and the jumperoo was pure entertainment and the 2 characters performing were quite amusing.

The white leucistic gators were the first white gators we had seen.

What we enjoyed most was the wonderful numbers of nesting birds by the gator lake - there were several breeds and you could see everything from birds building nests, to birds sitting on eggs, newly hatched birds and right through to those who were testing their wings. Our favourite memory was of a bird who had built a nest, not in the trees, but had hidden it where the public can walk and the parent started to bomb Andrew to get him away from where he was standing and then when he moved out of the way we watched the bird go to its hidden nest and feed the babies.

We were told all through the year they have different birds coming in and breeding so there is always something to see.

We will definitely be going back again.
