Just wanted to report that I have received my credit card statement and there was a charge of $21.00 for driving thru the sunline toll. I had mentioned when we arrived we missed the exit to pay and ended up going thru the sunline toll without paying. I will take that. With different conversations during my trip reports there were a number of members mentioning they were charged up to $50. Guess i got lucky.

It is very easy, at the second toll booth along the Beeline expressway in the I4 direction from the airport, to get into the wrong lane. Especially after a 9 hour flight, when perhaps one is not 100% with it !!
Once you are in the wrong lane at that toll booth, there is little you can do about it because of the barriers, but keep going
I did it last year and also got a modest charge on my credit card.
I would imagine it is a common mistake
