    ZENA'S TRIP DAY 2

As normal I was awake at 3am and I decided to get up and potter about. Husband likes to stay up later and fall asleep listening to his talking book. As we have a spare room in the villa he considerately sleeps in there. I wasn't disturbing anyone else so I turned on the TV to find them talking about a Tornado alert. [msneek]
We own a property in Spain where you regularly loose power so as I've never been in a tornado before I decided it might be an idea to look for push button battery powered lights to put in the bedrooms.
Later Sister and husband got up, he went off to Golf and we went shopping to St Cloud.
I was on a mission to find some clothes to wear as in my haste to finish packing I'd only got enough for two days.
Bass Road Walmart was like the Marie Celeste so I was hoping that St Cloud would have a better selection.
Couldn't find any battery lights in Dollartree but found a pack of 4 large one's in Walmart.
Found plenty of tops but no trousers so starting to panic.

Came back for lunch and the weather reports were predicting rain at 8 pm that night. Tiredness hit me and I went for a siesta. We went out at 6.30 to Smokey Bones.

Chris was talkin to our waiter about Basketball, I think he's missing having his nephew with us.
We then went to Publix and walked out of there at 8p.m just as it started to rain.....couldn't believe how acurate it was.

By the time we got to our villa it was pouring and even though we had umbrellas we got soaked going from car to the front door.

Tip no.1 bring more than 2 changes of clothes with you

Tip no.2 believe in the weather forcasts, they are acurate!

If you are refering to the storm last Sunday, it really was the mother of all storms. In the past eighteen years of travelling frequently to Florida, we have never experienced a lightening storm like that. We lived in Tampa Bay which is the lightening Capital of the world but still nothing like Sunday.

Hope you managed to get some more clothes and enjoy the rest of your stay whilst the weather is perfect[8D]

We've just got back from a trip to Florida Mall and the weather is 93f. Apparently this is summer temperatures and it's here for at least another week. Pack plenty of suncream you'll need it.
They've only had 2 days of spring and then lept into summer. Definately weird weather there having this year.
If we had come over at our normal time we would have froze.
