You can do it any time but consider whether the key information is likely to change before you travel or you'll have to do it all over again. Most of the information isn't mandatory anyway but the one that's most likely to change is where any of the passports have been renewed since the last authorisation.

By the way, if you're considering a gender change in the meantime, I'd hang on (pun intended)!!
