This was our first holiday to Florida as a family, and one that the memories will live with us forever. We arrived at Orlando International after a good flight with BA. We collected our car and let our youngest son choose the colour, we then drove for the first time in America which we both found after a while easier than driving in the UK! We arrived at our Villa about 40 minutes later and was amazed by the house. We ordered our take out from Hungry Howies and just sat back and relaxed after a long and tiring day.
Day 1 - The kids were up at stupid o'clock! I think they were in the pool just after 7am! We ventured out to Universal IOA, the kids loved it! We ventured on Incredible Hulk and other rides, our youngest Callum didn't fancy many of the big rides I have to say I was amazed at the speed of Hulk but wow what an experience! and enjoyed Rip Saw and Jurassic Park.
Day 2 - Had a rest day so we could enjoy the Villa and experience WallMart, can't believe they sell guns!
Day 3 - Off to Seaworld, that was amazing and after a lot of persuading the kids we went to see the Dolphin Show which was amazing, went on Kraken Manta and Return to Atlantis what a great day we had, the weather weren't great, and we were freezing walking round after getting soaked on Return to Atlantis.
Day 4 - Had another rest day as it was raining all day
Day 5 - Woke up with a stinking cold and felt terrible so stayed home again, typical weather was great so the kids were in the pool.
Day 6 - Went to Aquatica have to say weren't over impressed. It was another chillyish day but braved the lazy river! 2 of the kids went on the Dolphin Plunge and weren't impressed as they said so much water went in your face you couldn't see anything! The wave pool was good I can imagine it would be great there if the sun was out.
Day 7 - Universal Studios, and again weren't over impressed, Shrek was very good, Simpsons Ride was fantastic so was Jaws, but Men In Black was very disappointing. Spider Man was great too! Lovely sunny day as well. Rip Ride Rocket was closed, so we went back to IOA for the rest of the day and Callum the youngest braved Hulk! I decided to give it a miss, all 3 of them went on Duelling Dragons and we see the new Harry Potter World which looks good.
Day 8 - Dragged the kids kicking and screaming to Downtown Disney, and guess what they liked it there again, "see kids you really should listen to mother more often!" The Lego models are wicked, I bought some UGG flipflops for $80 which I thought was really good! Happy Lady!
Day 9 - Went to Orlando Premium Outlet and wandered round the shops, surprisingly enough we hardly spent any money.
Day 10 - Wet N Wild, another lovely sunny day and the kids left us in peace whilst they went on the slides hubby and I lounged in the Wave Pool. Lovely!
Day 11 - Seaworld again as we all really enjoyed it there. Went to see the Killer Whale show which was amazing and we sat in the soak zone! Big mistake when they say soak they mean it! Unfortunately we had to walk round wet and salty! Good job the sun was out. We had our caricatures done there and mine was so funny don't know who he was looking at but it looks nothing like me! My son's one was very good though. As usual Mat (Hubby) and I spent most of our time waiting for the kids to come off Kraken and Manta, as it was such a lovely day the park was a lot busier than the first time we went.
Day 12 - Back to Wet N Wild and what a lovely day it was really warm and the park was very busy as it was the start of Spring Break, the eldest and the youngest spent most of the day queuing up for the slides the middle one just hung about with us in the wave pool most of the day, all was good until..... the eldest come's back without Callum (aged 9) we ask him where he is "oh he was behind me" OH GREAT! mass panic! Mat and the 2 boys went off to look for him and I stayed at the table just in case he came back, to my relief he did within 5 minutes of the mass search, but of course Mat and the boys didn't know that and after another half hour we eventually found
