Hi, we have hired a car with Platinum insurance so we had a full tank of fuel and an extra driver, do we return the vehicle with a full tank? And what about damage? we have noticed a couple of scratches and dents on the car that have a sticker with reported with a date on them, but a few dents and scratches that haven't. We know we haven't done them but how will they?? No-one checked the car with us when we picked it out.
You need to look at the paperwork you were given when you picked up your car - it will say if you can return empty. But generally with platinum you have prepaid for the fuel and can return empty.

It has been our experience that they are not too bothered about damage to the cars, so long as it is nothing major. We have never damaged any car ourselves, but whenever we pick up a car at the airport, my husband diligently inspects the car to make sure that all damage has been notified to them before we drive it away, and usually we find a lot of dings and scratches that have not been noted on the paperwork.

when I hire my cars I have done the car tour and noted every scratch dent etc only to be told that they are to small and not to worry
I now dont bother I check for piece of mind and unless the door is missing or the fender is off then I dont tell the staff [msncool]
