    Travellers cheques

Not sure of the best way too take my currency to orlando, as the rates are pretty low at the moment.
Are travellers cheques ok, or is it a pain cashing them?

It is no problem cashing travellers cheques at all.
Personally i take a bit of cash and my post office credit card. i've never understood why you would need travellers cheques.

Travellers cheques are fine but with the rate at the moment you would be better of taking some cash dollars and use your credit card.

The only reason I mentioned travelers cheques is becasue the rate is so low, the best deal I could find was the Crown currency exchange who were offering 1.55 on order after 06/06/2010 but they dont offer a card its cash or travelers cheques only. The best rates on cards is about 1.48 on fairfx.

Make sure they are Amex ones as some places like Walmart will only take them.

Please be aware that CC are not regulated by the FSA and therefore you money is at risk.

The best way, in my opinion, is the Nationwide Debit Card. You can draw money at an ATM as you need it and the rate is usually better than that which you can get wiht CC's or cash in the UK. They do now charge a small amount but it is much lower than most other cards. There Gold Credit Card also give an excellent rate.
