I have used a Visa Debit with Budget at MCO on two trips, with no problems at all, fast track service and hired through uscarhire, am planning to do so again very soon.[msnsmile]

Personally, I'd want to have a credit card with me to be completely confident of not encountering any problems.

I tried to use a top up card the last time and they wouldn't accept it, I think because a prepaid card can't be pre-authorised.

The problem is they don't actually charge your card at the desk but keep an amount pre-authorised for payment when you hand the car back. Depending on who you hire with, some charge for a tank of petrol, some pre-paid tolls and one time we got charged for an extra day plus all the relevant insurances because we handed the car back just outside of the 24 hour period (the plane was early for collecting the car and we were a bit late on dropping off!)
