    Travel Insurance

I was hoping someone would be able to help me, my brother in law is having difficulting getting travel insurance as he has angina and COPD [emphysema]. He had a stent inserted seven years ago and only takes a daily asprin for it with no symptoms since this procedure was carried out but the insurance companies still class this as having angina.

He had insurance but it has come up for renewal and as he has turned 60 recently it seems he cannot get anyone to insure him for both these illnesses. He can get cover for one or other but not both.

He has tried most of the obvious companies, does anyone have any ideas.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the replies, he has tried both and they have declined to insure him.

It is a shame as he has a son who lives in Asia who's wife has just had a new baby and he cannot get out to see them.

Surely there must be a company somewhere that will do it, it is just finding it.

    Thanks again.

Thanks again, he does not need any oxygen, all he takes is some medication, other than that he keeps well, thankfully.

    I found this leaflet.

    http://www.chss.org.uk/publications/..._09.pdf#search

It has a few companies who specialise in this sort of thing.

    Good luck.

Although he is not that old Age Concern and Help the Aged are both worth a look as they are used to insuring people with medical conditions.

    Good luck

A friend of my Husbands has just got a very good quote from Staysure, he has much the same problems as your Brother in Law. He was very pleased with their quote, he did the medical screening.

Getting medical insurance for the USA is more difficult than other parts of the World.

A pal of mine cannot get insurance for the USA(he has a minor heart problem) but can for Middle East and Far East.
