    Flights 24th July 2010 to 7th August 2010

    Hi guys

what would be the most cost efficient way to get over to Florida for the first two weeks of the summer holidays. I appreciate it will not come cheap but any £'s I can save means more spends while there (or on a nice villa!)

    any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Hi Matt

As you say it is the first week of the summer holidays so cheap deals will be few and far between. You may be able to save a bit by using one of the American carriers and taking an indirect flight.

    Hi Matt

You will just have to shop around on-line. The prices do change on a regular basis, so if you see a price on one day it may not be there the next day.

A good place to start is this site, enquire via http://www.orlandovillas.com/cheap_flights.aspx

Do not worry about flying into Orlando International or Orlando Sanford they are both within easy reach.

    Best of luck

Flying in to Tampa is another option. You will probably find that the best deals are for indirect flights. These are usually cheaper than direct flights, and not too much hassle. You could try Kayak to search for flights.

This year we are flying into Miami, a bit of a drive I know but tickets in school holidays are £300 cheaper each, saving us £900.

Thanks guys - how far is Miami then?

Is it best to get the flights booked up now do you think?

From Miami airport to Disney World is about 250 miles. It will take you about 5 hours dependant upon traffic and stops for breaks etc.

I would book flights as soon as you can, if the price is in your range. There's no guarantee that waiting will mean cheaper flights...often just the opposite, especially for peak periods like summer holidays

    Hi Matt

If you do not fancy the drive both ways you can do what we did for our August trip.

We are flying direct to Miami in August but returning indirect from MCO via New York. Booked the flights after a post on this forum about a good deal. Booked during the sale period - prices went up about £50 while we trying to confirm holidays at work but well pleased with the price we paid for the four of us.

Best prices I have come up with today are £634 per person. How does this sound? Good bad?
