Went there last night but we're not vegetarians. Great selection of roasts (including lamb, which is unusual) and about 30 Chinese/Japanese dishes, including sushi.

This is somewhere Roger and Carolyn recommended to us as they ate there a few times when they were over a few months ago. We never got the chance to try it whilst we were there but it sounds good and is on our list of places to eat for our next trip in November.

It's very much like the Ponderosa (which you didn't like) so I'm not sure it'll be a hit with you!

We'll bear that in mind Blott.

Is the food better quality than at the Ponderosa or I wonder did we just catch them on a bad day?

I would have said the same quality but, as we go to both places, that's just my opinion! I've never had any complaints about the Ponderosa opposite Old Town or Las Vegas buffet so I think you must have got a bad day and there's a lot of meat in both (but with veggie options - it is a buffet), which might have put you off a bit!

Las Vegas buffet is slightly more expensive for dinner at $11.99 compared to from $9.99 at Ponderosa but breakfast is the same price.

I think half the problem with Ponderosa was we were not sure what had meat in and what did not as you can quite often find silly things like bacon in innocuous looking salads! No-one around to ask either.

Also Ponderosa was full of touristy types (I know we are too but when staying in a villa we at least like to think we are locals).

Ahh! I hate to say this but Las Vegas buffet is also full of tourists too (mainly British!).

One of the few places sans tourists is Denny's in Poinciana which we visit a bit and it was also recommended by one of our home guests for that very reason (so we're not the only ones who like to pretend we're locals!). <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
