The times do vary according to the winter/summer schedule, but I just checked and at the moment it's due in at 10.15 am but I don't think we've ever landed later than 9.30

Mark do you mean you don't want to fly home at lunchtime? We always leave Orlando just after 7pm arrive in Washington at about 9pm and then get the 10pm flight back to London which gets us in about 9am

Is that 10 pm flight actually scheduled to arrive in London at 9.00am Caroline? That's a flight time of just 6 hours which might be achievable in exceptional circumstances but I can't see it happening regularly.
[/quote]We normally fly Virgin 2040 to Manchester after using the Downtown Disney check-in at 800am giving us a full day to spend as we wish. This time we flew with Delta on the 130pm flight to Atlanta then 700pm flight to Manchester. We were at the airport for 1200 and after taking ages for Alamo to check our car back in, then checking in with Delta and handing baggage over, we only had time for a quick snack. It seems a long time coming back! Stopping off somewhere else for another night isn't an option as I have a job with normal holidays (unlike Jan who works for the NHS!) Manchester doesn't have the flight options of London, naturally.
Regards, Mark

Hi Mark
If you ever get the opportunity, I do recommend the day flight. I'm also North West based and agree about the Manchester situation.
Inbound flights are scheduled to arrive at Heathrow as early as 7.30 pm (it's often early in) and because you've only had a shortish day flight, you can easily drive home and be in bed before midnight. No jet lag and no night flying. I'll actually be doing it this coming Monday!
