Alamo - What can i expect

Hi Everyone.

Have always used Dollar for car rental, but seeing as how Alamo are way cheaper at the moment have booked with them this time (From here).

I have chosen a full size 2 door, and wondered what have people been getting as a vehicle in this category?

Also do Alamo have one of those fast check in programs in place?

I never knew you were back in the UK..and I never got you to make me a coffee..I'm getting the feeling from most of the expats forums I'm on I'll be the only Brit in the US soon...
We find we only end up getting a two door if its a compact..most of the two doors we have ordered turn out to be 4..we had a Sebring..we have a soft top at home which we love but we did not like the rental that much..maybe because it had a smaller engine than we are used too

With Alamo you go and choose your own car, they don't have separate aisles for 2 or 4 door cars, but can't tell you one make from another though [msnembarrased] There is talk of US car hire clients using the fast track machines next year, but I don't think this has started yet.

Hi Chrissy, Yes we gave up on the dream and headed back in July.
We really did pick the wrong time, but hey who could forsee what was coming.
Coffee sure, i'm here 30th till 14th.
