    safari

Even though the children do not like our method, it has worked well for us. We get there very early go straight to the safari, and get a fast pass. But we have never had to que so have gone straight on, then done some of the other attractions. Then back on to the safari, later on in the day as you see quite different animals depending on what time of day. Then back to the villa the children are tired and you get a restfull night.

    I'd agree.

When we went a couple of weeks ago the first thing we did was get a fastpass for the Safari - then went to watch the Pochahontas show whilst we were waiting.

Great - as we jumped the whole queue for the safari as keeping our children entertained for the long wait would be interesting

We always go straight to the safari ride as soon as the park opens, then onto Kali River rapids, usually get 2 or 3 soakings before it's time to go back and use our fastpass on the safari again - you do see different animals at different times of the day.

I agree, fastpass for the Safari, then Kali River if it's hot, Tough to Be a Bug if it's not

Animal kingdom opens early to enable you do do this (7.30?) Even so,, this is late in safari terms. When we did a real one, it started at 6 am. The safari lasted 3 hours then we went back to the lodge for breakfast. Animals are active at dawn and dusk in the wild. By 9 am, they are asleep under a tree in the middle of the complex where there is more shade if they have any sense. Go early, do the safari first ( you could even do it twice at that time as it is empty), then go for breakfast. You could even take a pass out and go the the Animal Kingdom Lodge buffet ( needs booking). Now that would be authentic!!

We too went straight to get a fastpass and then back to Camp Mickey just as Lion King show started - it was deserted apart from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Daisy Duck just crying out for a hug and photo - never go to Camp Mickey as show finishes though!!
