    Fishing in December

    Hi All

I am in Florida from the 11th December through to the 31st December 2009 and fancy trying a spot of sea fishing somewhere on the Gulf Coast (Clearwater) and some Bass fishing on Lake Toho. If anyone fancies meeting up for either of these trips let me know and we can split the costs.

Just come back and went across to Johns pass for the day. Nothing booked but asked by the dock if anyone did fishing by the hour. The guy made a call and we had a boat there in 20 minutes.
Took us to a secret pier that was sunk in a hurricane and the fishing was great. We were only out 2 hours but 3 of us had 10 grouper in that time. Not sure if you have fished for them but they pull your arm off!
You think you have a shark and out comes a 5lb grouper. Think the keeper length is about 22" and we had a couple. The eating is fantastic. The capt. said they go over 30lbs where we were fishing. He caught a cracking flounder and a few other bits. Also King Mackerel etc. about for trolling and all about 500yds from the beach!

Sounds like the place to go. I don't know any of the fishing companies over there so i was just going to turn up the day before and book something so Johns pass it is.

Unless of course anyone knows anywhere better!!!!!!

    Thanks
