Visiting Canada -hand in departure record?

Two of our party are travelling to Canada for four days during our three week holiday in Florida. We have visitor visas for more than two months beyond this short visit and intend to have a further couple of weeks in Florida. Should we surrender our departure records when flying to Canada?

According to the CBP FAQ, the answer is 'no.

Thanks for that, Keith. I could find information about the VWP visa still being valid, as long as the original criteria of entry was still met on re-entry, but couldn't find info about what to do when you were leaving.
