    Play Areas

My 3 children particularly like the 'adventure playground' type of areas to go wild in. There's an area in Sea World with climbing ropes etc. and also at Busch Gardens in the Land of the Dragons.
Anyone know of any other large play areas of this kind outside of the major parks? Thinking of slides/zip wires/climbing ropes and the like.

    Thanks

There are (free) kids' play areas at Kissimmee Lakefront Park and St Cloud Lakeshore Park.

To reach the first one, go under the archway from the 192 which says Kissimmee Historic Town or District, take a left anywhere near the shops on the main street and you'll find the park.

To get to the second one, go along the 192 to St Cloud (opposite way to the 27) and turn left when you get to the St Cloud shopping area. The roads are named after US States, ie Michigan, Washington, etc. You'll find the park at the lake shore.

Both of these areas have public BBQ areas - take your own charcoal and food. At St Cloud there's a Crabby Bill's restaurant if you don't feel like cooking along with a beach area if anyone's into sand castles. At Kissimmee there are some eateries in the main street.

There is also an fantastic adventure playground in Islands of Adventure at Universal. It is opposite the Jurassic Park ride, and has lots of climbing things, and really great water guns to play with. Just make sure that your kids are dressed in quick drying clothes, because they WILL get wet! My son would spend hours in there[msnsmile]
