We boarded the plane at Gatwick and once all the passengers wer on board and the doors closed the pilot announced that there was a problem with Shannon air traffic control, which had closed[msnsad] and that we we going to taxi out to a holding area for an hour and a half while we were re-routed. However after an hour we managed to take of, at least we were now on our way, other flights had been cancelled[msncry] We arrived in Orlando and picked up our hire car, a Toyota Sienna, very nice, and drove to our hotel, after getting something to eat the others went for a walk around Old Town before settling in for the night.
Up early on Sunday morning, breakfast at Denny's before driving down to the Everglades. We had an airboat ride which everyone enjoyed, then continued on our journey to Fort Myers Beach. Up early this morning had a walk along the beach for a couple of hours, we saw dolphins in the sea, it is 92f here at the moment. Bill (hubby) & David (son) have just gone of for a ride on a jet ski, Bec & John (daughter & partner) have just gone in the pool and now I have finished checking my emails and writing this I am going to join them.
