upgrade

Hi i have my car hire booked through here with budget arriving late september, I keep reading lots of posts stating that you can get a free upgrade if available, How do i find out if this also applies to me, I have ordered a 7 seat minivan and have been told i will probably recieve a vehicle like a crysler, Just out of interest does anyone know what i will recieve if i get a free upgrade, and ive also been told that the budget office in sanford airport is very small so do not hold a lot of cars is this true, and last of all i have pre registered for fasttrack so will i still be offered an upgrade or will i have to go queue up at the office?

What upgrade from a 7 seater van is there?

I had a 7 seater Van from Budget at MCO last week. I had to wait about 30 mins while it was being 'serviced'. It was a Chrysler Town and Country.

The clerk said they were hugely in demand, and indeed all the car rental companies had signs saying no cars available unless pre-ordered. An American family told me they had tried everywhere and were now desperate, they were pinning their hopes on Budget who were trying to get an extra car for them.

Hi Robert5988, well i suppose i was hoping they may offer an 8 seater, i suppose if i had wanted one of them i should of ordered it in the first place[msnembarrased] Im glad ive ordered mine in advance and have also opted for the fast track but being it will be late september i dont think it will be anywhere near as busy as july/august, How was the chrysler was it nice and roomy inside theres 6 of us and 6 cases ive already been told i should go for a bigger car but i keep thinking ive only got to get from the airport to the hotel and back, what do you think

We ordered a 7 seater with Budget in July and got an 8 seater Toyota Sienna. We used the fast track at MCO and it was great. We hadn't expected an 'upgrade' but it was a nice car.

There is room for 5 suitcases behind the last row of seats and the other can go on the spare seat.

Rebecca, if you need a bigger vehicle then I would not risk pinning my hopes on an upgrade. You could be lucky but you could also be unlucky as there is no guarantee.
