    Rip, Ride, Rockit?

Any insider news as to when this ride is to open?

On the news a couple of days ago it says it has been delayed again due to technical problems. The coaster is operatoinal (in terms of the trains are going round) with no riders. The comment was 'it will open when ready' so very vague. They say there are so many new features on this coaster, never been used before, that there are more problems to resolve than most other coasters.

The previous issue was with the lift system to take the car to the top. They had installed a new type of system, and it didn't work so they had to remove it and replaced it with a conventional lift system.

Even the staff don't know but when I've asked various staff members I get the impression they think it will be early Autumn.

The same thing happened when they completed the Simpson ride. It looked like it was going to open last Easter but in the end it was quite a few a few week after before it opened.

Well, I've watched the (empty) trains rolling on that attraction, and there's no way I'm getting close to it any time soon: talk about a vertical climb and plunge... [msnscared]. But the kids were really disappointed they couldn't ride it. Whenever it opens, it's going to be very impressive, and you really want them to solve all the technical problems they might have before you get on it [msnsmile2]!

The kids were really disappointed that this ride was not open when we visited a couple of weeks ago. All the staff would say was 'it could be any day now'

Oh well - we will just have to go back again when it is open [:P]

I've been informed by friends that the manager
in charge of the ride expects it to open
    tomorrow Sun 16th August 2009 [msnsmile2]

Grand opening on Labour Day Mon 7th September 2009 [clap]

I am also counting the days till we go
so I hope it does open soon
    as it looks fantastic.

    12 days, 13 hours, 55 minutes, 23 seconds

It was running last night with people in so it must be nearing finbal testing.

Everytime we have visited Universal the carriges have been runing empty, yesterday they were full of people and last night it looked great all light up.

I keep watching the news and it states 'coming soon'
