If begins with anything other than a 6 then yes no problem. If it begins with a 6 it will not work in a USA terminal (may work in cash points).

Just for the record this year we took a Visa Electron cash passport to the US.

After buying this from Travelex I was disheartened by some reports (some in here) this was not widely accepted in the US.

The actuality is that it was.

I had no problems paying for goods/meals/services in all the major theme parks including spending $3.40 in the local publix when I was that amount short of cash on a shopping trip.

Perhaps the only issue was the cost of cash withdrawal, the ATM I used most charged around $2 on top of the exchange fee.
