Even with a visa you will probably be asked length and purpose of stay. Don't be nervous, some of the Immigration Officers even have a sense of humour, but don't count on it.

We have a 6 months visa and at imagration it was very slow and there was only our plane in on the 28 JUNE 2009 they have been told take extra care and you can understand it with what is going on in the world with the bombing of hotels so only feel that they are looking after you .
We have never had a surly imagration officer maybe it is the way we treat people and ask us when are we going again .
Even when we was showing our passport getting on the plane he asked when are we coming back so the American people are polite not like Manchester airport going out and coming back in maybe they do not like the enviroment they work in .

We have always found immigration very easy and the people there are very nice. They may sound a little 'harsh' sometimes when 2 or 3 planes have arrived at the same time, but that is just so that people will take notice of what they are asking us to do.

I do think there is a lot of hype about immigration, and as a general rule (same as with all customer faced business) you only ever hear the bad stories. Nobody ever seems to pass on good stories.

Relax, smile and be confident - not cocky. They are there to help.

The last immo officer I had went through the usual spiel, asked me who I was travelling with..... my 25 year old niece at the next booth, asked me my occupation......midwife, looked across at my niece who was wearing a loose fashionable top and asked me if she was pregnant[msneek]
When I said no he was mortified but we both had a good laugh and a joke as he made me promise not to tell her what he had said

Many of them have a very human side if you just behave properly...........travelling to Denver tomorrow, hope I don't have cause to change my mind about what I just said[msneek]
