Finally,I have just about managed to get everything booked for our holiday on the 5th August - 28th August. Flights,car hire from here, hotel for 2 nights on arrival in Miami, travel insurance, directions from MIA to hotel, hotel to our house in Clermont. It has taken two weeks to pick a hotel that suited everyone (and it's only for the 2 nights[:I]) and I nearly drove myself mad, so last night I booked a non-refundable offer, so that I can't change my mind again.

Isn't it a great feeling to know it is all done now. The fact that you have done it all yourself is a very satisfying feeling too because you know exactly what to expect. That is why I dont go through travel agents.

Hi we're staying at the Hilton Doubletree Beach Resort & Spa for 2 nights. 2 bedrooms and the 'kids' get a double bed each, so they don't have to share. Just going to spend a bit of time on the beach and having a look around before we drive up to the house.

John hasn't a clue when his flight is, where he is staying or even who I have hired the car with. He just heads for the aiport when I say it's time to go. It makes a change that we don't have to go down to Gatwick the night before, I booked the Meet & Greet at LHR so we drive the 5 minutes up the road to departures (T5) and have the car taken off us there. (Well that's the theory)[msneek]
