Will my friend need a visa

We are booking to go to florida next year with friends.

2 years ago my friend was shocked when a police woman came to her door and said she was to arrest her due to her not reporting a change in circumstances with tax credits. She said that it was not the police that were arresting her but they were carrying out orders for the inland revenue under a different type of arrest [msnscared] her husband was working away and she didn't have anyone to look after her son so they told her to report to the police station in the morning but she got a solicitor and he sorted it that she didn't need to go.

Anyway, my friend appeared in court, no plea or declaration was made and went home. A few months later her solicitor told her that everything was dropped.

She has had a check done when she went for employment for a finance company and she got the job so Im assuming that nothing is on record ?

will she need a visa, she is worried sick just now and doesn't know what to do for the best ?

I believe that this is everybody's favourite topic so i will get in quick before the deluge of advice starts!
In my opinion the question on the visa waiver form is intended to stop major undesirables coming into the country not people like your friend- the question asks whether you have been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation related to a controlled substance. It then goes on to to make reference to being charged for 2 or more offenses with an aggregate sentence of 5 years or more are you a drug trafficker or are you going to engage in criminal activity-If I were your friend I would have no hesitation in ticking the no box and not giving it a second thought-they are after bigger fish.

Agree with the above about ticking the 'No' box!

She has neither been arrested or convicted of any offence, let alone an offence of moral turpitude.
