    Tuscan Hills

We are going to Florida on 26 November and because I am using Tesco points we have had to book a package and pay Virgin for the villa. We have chose Tuscan Hills and I have never stayed on Highway 27, always in the Indian Point/Lake Berkley areas.

Anyone got any tips/hints for staying around Tuscan Hills?

What is the best route to go to Downtown Disney or Universal?

From Tuscan Hills you can use Westside Blvd to 192 then you have the choice of using the 429 to Disney,or taking Sherberth road to Osceola Parkway .From Osceola Parkway you can then get to Disney as it runs through Disney property with no trouble at all or to the I-4 to universal. If you would lie a map of these routes send me a dm with your email and I will send you one.

We've just come back from Tuscan Hills 2 weeks ago.

I wouldn't go down the I-4 but would use Osceola Parkway from Disney to Animal Kingdom and then Sherberth road to 192 or use the west entrance/exit to the 429. The only problem with the 429 we found was there is only one toll booth open in each direction and this really slows you up.

From the 192 Westside Boulevard to K8 School and the right on Florence Villa to Tuscan Hills. Westside is very quiet and very well lit, but Florence Villa past Bahama Bay to Tuscan Hills is pitch black. We actually thought just going to the end of the 192 and using US27 was quicker than going down Westside, but busier and not lit.

There is a publix literally 2 minutes away south on US27 and next to that is an Applebees restaurant, a few takeaways and other restaurants. Also 5 minutes north on US27 beyond the 192 is Wal Mart, Taco bell, Macdonalds, Burger Kings,Lowes and Chilis.

There are also 2 gate entrances to Tuscan Hills and often one gate doesn't open (whether entering or exiting) and you have drive around to the other gate.

On the 192 just after the 429 is a new Lone Star, a new Olive Garden and also a huge Super Target. Opposite these is another Publix at orange Lake.
