PAE with Budget

Having rented Budget cars for our last few trip and been happy with the cars we have noticed on the agreement under optional services a charge of $6.95 a day for PAE which we believe to be Personal Accident and Effects Insurance .If this is correct and we have this cover already in our own travel insurance are we ok to decline the charge on the agreement or is this already included?

yip we always decline it , as its included in our travel insurance. In fact the last few times we have hired a car we didnt even get asked if we wanted it.

Ditto - I have just looked at my last Budget invoice and it was marked declined, it was never mentioned.

Thanks - on our last agreement it was not there but the one before it was and we had the same package both times .The time it was there they tried to charge us $115 on the return of the car but we queried it and it was reduced to $7and a few cents- we still don't know why but we were happy with that.Next trip we will check again to see what is on the agreement.

Yes, only take this if you don't have personal insurance with your own travel insurance or other policy. If you sign for it then later decide you didn't need it then there is no way you (or we) can get the rental company to refund it.
